After suicide, Allison undertakes travel to another dimension. In this alternate universe queen an apprentice magician who after killing his teacher is causing chaos and depravity within six walls of ice, fruit such, have scraped their hands the Sun's surface. Allison mission will end his reign. Six other human of flesh and blood will also be involved in this arduous task. The angels of heaven and the demons of hell are waiting anxiously to successfully complete the mission.

There are two unique ways to "Ice from the sun" : you either love or hate. I am among the first. Some branded as boring, pretentious and banal, but nothing is further from the truth.
With very few means, Eric Stanze, director the issue also Scrapbook (2000) ( also in the morgue) and I spit on your corpse, I piss on your grave (2001) among others, and owner Wicked pixel independent cinema , does transport the viewer for nearly two hours in a limbo where the master is a modern cenobite that as in Hellraiser (1987) subjects its victims hurtful and devastating to a dream world of torture and death resulting from their innermost fears.

The power of the images shown in the film is highly engaging, they are the real stars, beyond the story, the actors or special effects. It is true that many of them are disturbing, provocative and at times irritating, but therein lies the success (or failure depends who sees it ) of this excellent film shot on Super 8mm ( was the first of its kind to be released on DVD), a great example of independent film, authentic and full of talent.

Without forgetting the limits within which he worked Stanze, "Ice from the sun" combines the seriousness an epic horror film with experimental film, surrealism and the ability to capture in pictures what the director had in mind with a brilliant result.
Another important feature is the direct influence of the video ( the opening credits is one from beginning to end, would sign himself Trent Reznor for his Nine Inch Nails ), with an excellent soundtrack full of the best grunge, punk and alternative rock by independent groups ( again).

are also notable and imaginative cruel deaths of the protagonists (l to Dana is certainly cold and hard, with that deadpan image of driver and that bag ... ).
may be people that all this may be an intense snafu and that pay more attention to the interpretations ( Light but stay in the background ) about beginner players or excessive length, but I reiterate, this is a display talent and an intelligent management of poor budget that many would have. Obviously, the last word you have here, and if a movie creates so many conflicting opinions, some (for better or worse) is that the pound of vulgarity. ----------------------------------------------
