France, 2014. To solve a problem of prison overcrowding, the new totalitarian government announced that openly supports the production of a new reality TV program. After a start that is very similar to Saw (2004) ( the original, nothing to do with the horrific aftermath ), Vincent Lecrocq immerses us in a macabre sort of reality show in which participants must escape the zombies ( here called "tenants" ) and even themselves to survive. With its generous dose of blood and good performances, " survivant (s)" is another example of what the French are plugged in this genus. The film is structured as if the TV itself, with a host that even scarier than zombies, recounting the misadventures of fearless competitors ( good, it feels like to see certain Current hosts the likes of Jorge Javier Vázquez ). Here the director reflects the near future certainly pessimistic, like the general tone of the short, with a France ruled by the extreme right ( disguised criticism of Sarkozy and current immigration policies ), dedicated to all types of the less reprehensible political efforts.
