Sometime in the 19 th century in Switzerland: After a crazy night of drinking, three pastors who are alone in the Alps with his flock create a doll with fabric and a root of odd-shaped timber. When your creation comes to life in the form of a beautiful female demon evil, is when we should fear for their lives ... Georg Tressler, Austrian director for half a century was devoted mainly to television series and films, he surprised all and sundry in 1989 with " Sukkubus" a film with only four actors and aunaba folkloric style, bizarre and hallucinatory with very arthouse wave Bergman. Unlike many films of the Swedish master, in " Sukkubus" hardly any dialogue, it truly remarkable is the strange atmosphere that permeates the film, where the feeling that something is about to happen is permanent and does not occur. The strange thing is that, with little history and a pace not too fast, the director manages to perfectly capture our attention by the strangeness of many sequences and the skill of the actors. Action takes place in a secluded cottage Switzerland and in the mountains where it is located ( locations that seem very " Heidi" at a time with a large photograph ), where characters face a beautiful succubus it takes to appear, but even if not, the tension gets Tressler in many sequences with little is admirable. Far from being classified as horror movies, this film is reminiscent in some moments ( though its history has nothing to do ) also to the superb Onibaba (1964) , with good artistic work and that puts you squarely in that rarefied atmosphere of restrained sexuality, religion and poverty. I do not know if this version is uncut, but the few gory scenes of the film seems rather short ( especially in the final peeling ). If so it's a shame, because those specific moments give an air of absolute cult movie. It should be noted that those who are not very fond of this type of film will probably seem very boring, but personally I think it has, though a very simple story, an undeniable magnetism that makes it special, nor is it a masterpiece, but it is different and enigmatic enough so that you can exploit.

Alex returns home keeping a terrible secret, a full moon transforms into a bloodthirsty werewolf. Two hunters these creatures end up in Alex's house and sister Amy. Soon must all face the true nature of Alex , like with that of Mike , another dangerous and savage werewolf. One of the current German popes of ultragore, Timo Rose (known as Hannibal King in his side rapper) gives us the vision Germanic werewolf in this passable "Beast." With thirty-three years, Rose has directed 22 films and counting shorts, documentaries and series. It is, therefore, a young man with a future and a talent that can lead to higher levels if you have luck. A light-years from tinkers several came from Germany, Timo again takes care of almost everything in "Beast" : directs, writes screenplay, composed the music, creates FX reserves and which is undoubtedly the best part of the film: the cool and funny werewolf hunter Mike , always teetering on raids mate. The general tone of the film is very casual, with lots of humorous dialogue (or so they try at least) and got some time. Generally, when these scenes are "funny , and repetitive merry whistling tone alert us comedy like we're in a movie of Bud Spencer and Terence Hill , which as you understand, no glue or glue. Of course, Rose not waive wild moments of gore that we have come, few, but when they do, really brutal and effective (except infographics FX sometime crappy, but is forgiven ...). What begins to see clearly lacking is a transformation in the wake of the films of werewolves, but even Timo Rose is not Rick Baker himself currado He might have more on this aspect, and is that even the most crappy movies of Paul Naschy could consider ( stunned many times ) carefully man changing into a wolf. Also note tarantiniana too much influence in both dialogues ( obviously knowing what level are the scripts of Quentin and where those Timo ) and the characters, being the two main characters a kind of Jay and Silent Bob certainly curious. As German gore film is about many things you, as long and unfunny jokes, and lacks many others, worked as a story and some interpretations acceptable. Still, as I said before, is a thousand times better than much of what reaches us from the country concerned Teutonic horror film and can be seen well from the requirement of technical improvements over claims that the director has proposed This review of the subject werewolf. Some might be disappointed with it, but I expected very little (if anything ) and I got a little surprise, so with popcorn, beer and the good company is perfectly enjoyable.
