em> After a hard day at the bar where she works and, after missing the bus, a taxi driver Laura give enough strange. The directorial debut of Emil Ishii is a thriller tinged road movie where the blood and misogyny are not lacking and that IMHO is completely dispensable. After a promising start indeed ( including excellent sequences in the credits ), " Rovdrift " lost in love and I can not constant. Alarming the mismatch is in many scenes ( I'm not going to quote but you will realize quickly ), the film bore little too much even for the fourth time and it lasts. In fact, I dare say that sure as short would be great, but the plot is unnecessarily long and it weighs heavily in terms of agility. Very predictable, Ishii not miss the usual references, homages typical ( and not stuck here too, is quite forced ) and citations to Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) , The Last House on the Left (1972) or cat's ex-wife of the driver, Jonesy , sure that the name you sound to that of Lieutenant Ripley of Alien (1979) . I stay with the star duo's performances, achieved some time in great suspense and the final sentence of Oscar Wilde . And a little more, because in the genre and need something ( much, I would say ) rather than what is in " Rovdrift . It is a pity that the director has not felt able to manage their resources, since the first twenty minutes is not bad, making us believe in their potential, but is diluted by the limited resources under-utilized and failed attempts to save the already simple story. Some might enjoy her, especially if you please of psychokillers films, but considering the wide range of genre films that are in the market, it is certainly difficult to opt for a film like this for fun. And again, warning to those eager to cut the end credits ( yes, I am among those who drink to the last letter ... but in this case say it is justified to pass them ): final surprise there, and please, I hope that does not serve for a sequel.
